Headshot is best, but it will be very difficult and time-consuming to create every player portrait that way. A players photo, depending what resource you use are sized differently and are different file types. A players actual team photo posted on pressbox will look one way. A players minor league photo posted on the minor league baseball website will look different. A players photo on mlb.com when he signs or is traded to a new team during the season will look different- its just a player photo photoshopped with the new/current uniform.

Portrait Pack for BSU-FAN Latest Roster/Franchise

New version of my portrait pack just uploaded in Downloads. It includes the players that were traded today. -
Nah. I like 80s music and other genres. But I thoroughly enjoy, and mostly listen to old rockabilly and old country-western music because my parents and other family members listened to it as was growin up.

How about an all 80's New Wave soundtrack with WHAM, Culture Club, Oingo Boingo, Flock of Seagulls, Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran, Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Erasure, The Cure, Madness, New Order, Psychedelic Furs, Echo and The Bunnymen, OMD, Corey Hart, Adam Ant, Billy Idol, The Cult, Dead or Alive, The English Beat, Human League, Thompson Twins, Information Society, Jesus and Mary Chain, Modern English, Til' Tuesday, Howard Jones, The Police, Simple Minds, Siouxsiee and The Banshees, Talking Heads, Stone Roses, The Specials. No wait, this is supposed to be a baseball game soundtrack....

They ruined their respectability by trying to be WCW and hiring old farts like Hogan, Biscoff, etc. They wanted to compete directly with the WWE, and you cant do that no matter how lame WWE can be at times. If TNA does go under, I hope Triple H hires some of the remaining TNA wrestlers to be on NXT at least,

BSU-FAN, have you convinced any modders of the nba2k games to work on mlb2k? If so, hopefully they figure out how to change the game code, so arm tattoos become an option to include and mod like you can for nba.

Portrait Pack for BSU-FAN's Roster/Franchise File
scottybilly commented on scottybilly's file in Portraits
A good deal of those portraits were done by others like raidersball. He has his own method for doing hi-res portraits. I do mine in a simpler way just using standard jpeg images I get from mlb.com. I mainly just make portraits for players as they switch teams, while raidersball uses actual team photos to create his portraits. -
Look in the downloads section.

I cant wait For Kevin Owens to wrestle Samoa Joe. That could be a match of the year.

Yes, I have done the same searches myself and found this. I have no problem with their project being uploaded. But it would be nice to find more content than just sky textures, and variations of team logos, menu icons, background images, title pages, etc. Its all quality work, but minor in how it enhances the game in my point of view. Where are the cyberfaces, stadiums, uniforms, or accessories that I'm sure have been modded in the Asian community? That's what I would like to see added to this person's project.

Those were supposed to be Wookies in Return of The Jedi. But Lucas could not find enough tall people or didn't have enough money to costume tall people in wookie costumes. Hence Ewoks were used instead. lol

That's what I meant. There doesn't need to be a true version of anything. To try to eliminate confusion or resentment, show everybody first what is in his patch that is original and not from the community here, then ask the appropriate people for permission to include their mods in his patch. Announcing a patch, or showing everything out of the blue in a preview video that includes all the mods is what gets on my nerve because I can see all the content that was added but not approved by the modders here themselves.
-
Why doesn't he just preview in-depth all the work that is original and not by any modder here. Then he could get input as to whether there is a demand here for the "patch" he wishes to release? He could also get input on the quality of work first hand and find out what or what not to include in his patch. Instead of trying to do it all on his own in his own methods, perhaps he can contribute to the total conversion mod for MLB2K15 that is planned, and include the original material from outside sources that people like the most.

Portrait Pack for BSU-FAN Latest Roster/Franchise

I did use 7-Zip. The original file is too big to zip any other method since there is a 100MB limit for files here. 7-Zip condenses the file to 96MB. -
I have no problem with him or anybody sharing their work from elsewhere, combined with ours as long as everybody gets proper credit. The Asian modding community does stellar work I must admit, but they choose not to share it with anybody unless you somehow sign up to their website and contribute in their mod community. All we get are previews and then they tell us to go to said website if we want to download it. The only original work I see in their previews/teasers is the work they do with the global.iff file. Although it is stellar work, not all of it enhances the game to my enjoyment. I really would like to be able to see in-depth what the Asian modding community does and have them preview here what they do and offer us a chance to download it here without any hassles. I have no doubt there are excellent cyberface, uniform, and stadium makers in other modding communities.

Portrait Pack for BSU-FAN Latest Roster/Franchise

Hmm. All I know is that it is a 7z file that must be opened with 7-zip. And it opens fine for me. I don't know where that jargon in the filename came from though. -
Look. I know there is a language barrier here, but what is the point of you trying to repost mods that are already available here? Whether you have permission or not is irrelevant. Why do you call it a contribution? If you wish to contribute, then share some mods w/ permission that are not posted here at all.

Yeah, maybe I will actually play more than a few games this time. LOL -
I just posted a new portrait pack in the Downloads section that can be used with BSU-FAN's newest roster and franchise file.

Try posting some original work w/ permission from modders outside of mvpmods instead of reposting mods that are here already. Otherwise I do not see your point in condensing all the work into one "patch." Since I have all the mods that I like that were posted here already, I am not interested. And there already is an idea being floated about of doing a total conversion mod similar to mvp already.
