You're overreacting to his comments IMO. I bought Ty's editor last year and used it extensively for editing player ratings. But if a person can't edit any of the player ratings without it causing this issue, then the 2K12 editor is pretty much useless at this point, until the issue gets fixed anyway.

That was the case with 2K11, even after uniform mods were released. I would guess unless modders specifically edit each and every uniform's graphics file, it won't be fixed. At this point I believe the edits that are done to the unis involve simpler and more general tweaks using Ty's roster editor.

You can't check his skin tone number in the default roster, then plug that number in the editor to see if it adjusts back to the original tone?

Something's seriously up with the Blue Jays' unis. They sort of look like they did back in 1987 when I was sitting in the bleachers of Exhibition Stadium watching Barfield, Bell and Moseby run around the OF. :)

Oh okay, I see the issue. I haven't used the 2K12 editor yet so I didn't know the problem was that extreme.

Easy to do. Create a test roster and choose one team to use as a test team. Set their four lineups so they're identical for R, L and with DH. Rename the starting lineup according to their position number; 2 for C, 3 for 1B, etc. Makes it easier to edit more than one guy at a time and to keep track of who you edited. Make some edits, then launch a game with your test team as the home team. As soon as the first pitch is thrown, pause the game and use the replay feature to move around the field checking your edits for each player.

It's possible I would think to check in-game to see which skin tones are changed, then test various tones and come up with the closest match. I do that all the time with 2K11.

Something to keep in mind: There are slider vets who say the game plays differently depending on which difficulty level where you start adjusting your custom sliders from. Meaning, adjusting CPU hitting for example when starting out with your sliders set on Rookie difficulty, will yield different CPU ability/hitting results than if you start adjusting sliders while starting out with your sliders set on Legend difficulty.

darth, thanks for posting that link. I was able to use pena's tutorial to edit and fix the eye color issue I was having with the generic players.

Well, I followed pena's 2K11 editing tutorial and replaced the blue eyes .dds with the brown one. Worked perfectly and looks 500% better. Thanks pena and all who contributed.

The 360 controller sets up automatically and is the same, yup.

Make sure you save any changes to your profile, that sounds like half your problem here. The other thing is when a profile other than Player 1 shows up in the start up screen, it means you switched your controller on after you started up the game. Activate your controller first, then start up 2K12 (if I'm understanding correctly). EDIT: Just checked in-game, sounds like you maybe have your Player 2 profile loaded. Go into your profile screen and select Player 1, then save.

After playing 2K baseball for who knows how long, it finally dawned (of the dead) on me this morning why the generic players all look like zombies... everyone's eyes are bright blue! Is there any way at all to edit the game files and make the default eye color for these players brown or something? I don't care if it changes the eye color for every player, I just want darker eyes for everyone. I do a lot of editing and face switching using Ty's editor, but I have no experience unpacking files and using Photoshop to edit unis, etc. Before I start investigating all this, I'm just wondering if someone with knowledge could at least tell me if it's even possible to do. Thanks.

Is it a Windows 7 issue? I have programs on my PC I can't run on Windows 7 unless I first right-click on the shortcut and choose to "Run as administrator."

I've got an excel file for 2K11 with a couple hundred face IDs that I'm compiling and still working on. Mostly the generic cyberfaces all start with 92. But it's easy to check and find out their ID numbers. Go into any minor league team, take note of the repeated faces you see, then check both their face ID and skin ID using Ty's editor.

DS, don't you have to change the skin tone as well as the cyberface ID? Because while most cyberfaces have the correct skin/arm color, there are in fact some players who don't. Two different settings in other words that need to be checked and edited. lofton, I created a skin test roster save that allows me to switch face/skin IDs, then quickly test them in-game to make sure they all match up. I set up my test team's batting lineup so that all four lineups were the same vs L, R, and with DH. I then changed those players' names to their position number: 2 (for C), 3 (for 1B), 4 (for 2B), etc (allows me to quickly locate my test players in the editor). I make face and skin/arm ID changes, then fire up a game with that team as the home team. When the game starts, I pause and use the replay feature to go around the field and check to make sure everyone's face color matches their skin color.
