Are you using this for 2k11 or 2k12? If 2k11 then it's simply because you didn't decompress your portrait.iff. Get the mod tool or portrait decompress and open the .iff then install the portraits using the TiT.
-
Every time you save your changes in the roster editor you need to re load the roster in game. Changes apply to every mode.

It's SOP for all 2K sports games. they do something special for all holidays like Halloween, St. Patricks Day, Fathers Day, Mother's Day, 4th of July, etc....
-
I cannot make a simple "copy and paste" one. There's only 25-30 different "generic" cyberfaces that are given to many players in the game. If I do that it will change 50-100 different player's cyberfaces. Why don't you use my color corrected roster? It includes a roster that supports all my cyberfaces and is based on 2K's official update.

How this thread works: Basically you find a cyberface in the game and give it to a player with a generic cyberface. You can find player cyberface ID's by using Ty's editor. So for example, Mike Trout has a generic cyberface but you find another player in the game with a face that looks like his. So you give Trout that face. This is a way to quickly give players "real" faces rather than having to mod a new face for every player. Note: With 2K12 black players cannot be edited. Examples such as Austin Jackson or Michael Brantley. Doing so would give them an improper skin tone. So limit it to only white/brown players. Potential Problem With 2K's Minor League Rosters
DetroitStyle replied to Hollywood70's topic in MLB 2K12
meh, it's not that big of a deal. There's a pretty generous free agent pool and then the draft. So you can easily cut older players and sign some new ones in the draft or just trade the older ones away. -

it's a minor annoyance, but you can always adjust baserunner speed if you think they're moving too slow...

Same issues at OS. It seems to be a problem with gtx 400 series cards. Do you have one? I'm running a 570 and haven't had a single freeze *knock on wood*
-
You'll have to restart your franchise then with the edited roster.
-
did you load the roster before you started franchise? Also, you need to save each uniform individually otherwise it will revert back to normal when you click a different one in the editor.
-
-
Yes. You can change cyberface id#s with redditor if that's what you're asking

Learn like the rest of us did. Trial and error. Modding isn't a simple process you can just "pick up" and edit files. There's a lot of technical know-how and a lot patience and dedication is needed. With all these questions about modding lately and using the tools is like going to an airport and asking the desk clerk, "so there's the plane, now how do I fly it". Uhh, not that simple. That being said, as I don't want to discourage anyone, check the 2k11 forums as I've already posted a basic tutorial on how to get started. As well, check this website http://forums.nba-live.com/viewforum.php?f=144 for other tutorials. Oh, and to answer your question you need to export the textures as .DDS and edit them in GIMP or photoshop and then import them back into the tool.
-
Those are only based off of 2K official roster updates. They only update every week, if that. The new season mode though should update every day but that's ONLY when the actual regular season starts. So for now, what you see is what you get.
-
yikes, Ty hasn't been around in ages according to the vets on this site. I haven't seen him around or even post in at least a year. I would cancel the payment if possible until you can at least get a hold of him. Try sending him email messages and not PM's on this site. Let us know if he responds.
-
We could do that, but it would make a gold ball in every game mode and on every pitch...

no, it's not like NBA 2K where every player has their own arm textures. Editing them will edit them for every player.
-
Don't know, I don't use redditor. You'll have to email vlad. It still might be that you didn't pay for a high enough version. I know he's got like 5 different pay tiers for content.
-
No, basketball is different. Every player pretty much has a real cyberface. In baseball only a small percentage of players have a real one, so when 2k updates their roster they're just going to get a generic one.
-
Nope, it's too encrypted to figure out. Same thing last year.
-
You can manage your roster from the main menu. Hit the right stick to bring up the option and go to roster management.
-
You need to buy the premium version of reditor to get that functionality. The free one only has very basic editing.
