This is my first AL East beta version of my MLB 2k12 roster project. Every roster/player/rating in the AL East
was changed. All other divisions weren't touched by now.
Every AL East team should have 25 players (13 position players, 12 pitchers). If you think there are some guys
lacking you will find them in the minors (mainly those that are/were on the DL).

I created some formulas in Excel to calculate the ratings for all players who had at least a special number
of at bats or a special number of IP. I used the export function of fangraphs.com, so every rating for those
players is calculated and not based on my likings. Also the pitches (including speed, movement and command) and
fielding ratings are calculated. I tried to assign all players realistic fielding abilities for much more
positions than 2k gave them, too.
I tried to find scouting reports for the minor leaguers and adjust the ratings as good as I can.

In my opinion the rating changes provide a far better gameplay experience. There shouldn't be too many
unrealistic ratings anymore. Also the (IMO) too big differences between good and bad should be gone and the prospects
should all have realistic potential numbers. Not every rookie is a 5-star potential. High numbers (which means
ratings above 90 or 5-star potential) should be the exception.

I hope some guys take a look into what I've done with the AL East. If you notice something completely wrong
please let me know it.I am also sorry that I can not provide you with faster updates. The editing of one
franchise takes about 5-6 hours of work. But nonetheless I am really willing to finish this project.

OMAR INFANTE CYBERFACE


1. Unzip the player_head_1679.iff into your MLB 2k12 main directory.
2. Open your roster with Ty's 2012 editor and change Omar Infante's face number to 1679 and his skin tone to 9.
3. Open the game, load the roster, enjoy.

Cyberface for Anthony Rizzo (CHC)

1. Unzipp the .iff-file into your MLB 2k12 main directory.
2. Use Ty's 2k12 editor and change Rizzo's face number to "3493" and his skin tone to "3".
3. Enjoy.

Cyberface for Quintin Berry (DET)

1. Unzip the .iff-file into your MLB 2k12 main directory.
2. Use Ty's 2k12 editor and assign Quintin Berry the face number "3185" and assign him skin tone "11".
3. Enjoy.

Cyberface for Allen Craig (STL)

1. Unzip the .iff into your MLB 2k12 main directory
2. Use Ty's roster editor for 2k12 and assign Allen Craig the face number "64" and change his skin tone to "5"
3. Enjoy

This file replaces the ugly generic 2k cyberfaces with custom cyberfaces made by me.

Simply extract the file and put the player_head_92xx.iff files into your MLB 2k12 main directory and
overwrite the old ones.

I made some screenshots of a few faces. The first pack replaces the numbers 9200-9226, the second pack replaces the numbers 9227-9239, the third pack replaces the numbers 9240-9251 and the fourth pack replaces the numbers 9252-9279.

You won't have to change anything else. Simply overwrite the old faces with the new ones and they will appear in your game. Gone will be the retarded looking generic faces, upcoming will be the new generic cyberfaces.

If you find any errors (e.g. wrong head color for skin tone) please let me know it. I will correct that as soon as possible.

This set is meant for more gameplay realism. You should not look too much at the OVR of the players.
I included my slider set also for those who want to test it. I recommend to use my or Mkharh's sliders.

- I only finished the 25 man rosters of the AL West teams by now. I did not touch any other teams
- I edited nearly every rating (batting, pitching, fielding) and tendencies as well as position abilities
and pitch types of all players on the 25 man rosters of those teams
- The game should play way more realistic now (as far as I can tell at least) since I looked deep into
split stats which 2k hadn't done obviously
- the contact ratings should overall be a little lower which lowers the amount of pop ups and flyballs
- in my test games I had pretty accurate scores and stats. I had low scoring games and high scoring games,
a fine amount of walks and k's, enough extra-base hits, and so on
- the ingame ratings are all based on a system. I made a excel sheet for it to assign accurate ratings which
are depending on the real life stats of the players


HOW TO INSTALL

- Take the two files that are included in the folder and copy them into your MLB 2k12 saves folder
(They both are named "bambooland")
- Start the game and load the two files
- Maybe some guys show up with a generic bald head as far as you haven't downloaded the cyberfaces of
DetroitStyle and me over at mvpmods.com. I would recommend downloading them. It only takes a few minutes


FURTHER INSTRUCTIONS FOR GAMEPLAY

- Use CLASSIC HITTNG and TOTAL CONTROL PITCHING, I have not tested analog hitting since I hate it
- Use both USER FIELDING and USER RUNNING

Cyberface for John Mayberry Jr., 1B/OF Phillies.

I know he is way darker in reality but as long as we have to deal with the skintone issues of Ty's editor we have to live with such results. I hope you can enjoy this face nevertheless. Perhaps Ty will come up with a fix for the occuring errors and we can adjust some faces again.

This face was mainly done for BSU-Fan and his roster so Mayberry doesn't have a bald head anymore.

Cyberface for Prince Fielder, 1B of the Tigers.

Sadly I didn't find a better headshape so I couldn't give him his dreadlocks. Also his tattoo on the right neck is missing, I didn't find a good picture for it, only really bad ones.

Maybe you will notice some differences between his face color and the skin color of his arms when playing night games. I noticed for a lot of dark players those issues. Must be a 2k problem, since I have this problem also with unedited cyberfaces.

Cyberface for Johnny Cueto, SP Cincinnati Reds. I know he had an own face in the game but playing against the Reds 1 hour ago I realized what bad of a job 2k had done to his face, so I made a new one.
