  1. I wish I could tell you I used some amazing scientific method, but alas, it was just trial and error with a little bit of dumb luck. I'm glad I could help, and happy gaming. Knock a few outta the park for me.
  2. I went ahead and checked this out further, and I think I might have stumbled on what might have caused both of our initial failures to change from Total to Classic. I realized that the first time I tried the change, I hit the 4 key on the keyboard, which worked great in 2K10. But in 2K12, opening controls and hitting 4 to get to the Total/Classic control screen actually brings that menu up for the Keyboard, not the controller. You actually have to push in on the Left-Stick when on the Controls Setup screen so the game brings up the Total/Classic screen of the Controller/Gamepad. Make sure to double-check the top-left box of the menu screen shows the controller name, not the keyboard.
  3. OK. I see the change in Weeks now, wudl83. DS's face for Weeks is so much better than 2K's that I hadn't noticed it. Thanks for responding and clarifying things.
  4. I just replaced my old Saitek P2900 with a Logitech F310. The F310 is basically the newest version of the classic Dual-Action Gamepad, but this game actually recognizes it as a Xbox-360 controller. I did experience a similar problem when I tried switching to Classic controls in the middle of a My Player game. Just like you, once I made the switch, the classic button to swing didn't respond at all, yet the Right-Stick still worked as if controls were still set to Total Control. I just gave up screwing with it at that point and figured I probably had to set that stuff up before beginning a game. And I was correct -- Classic Controls worked fine in my next game. [Edit] I almost forgot... My brother has a Dual-Action Gamepad, and I could borrow it to see if there are any particular quirks I can find while using it.
  5. My apologies DS. I made a really dumb, but honest mistake. I am sorry I've upset you, and I sincerely apologize. For what it's worth, my eyes and mind kind of tricked me. I went in-game and scrolled thru the Mets unis to load the home one and view it, then alt+tabbed out to check uniform files. In looking at the files, I was somehow still thinking about and following the Home, Away, Alt, Alt, BP, BP, etc. order that uniforms are selected in-game. So when I looked at the files and I saw no nym_home above nym_alt_1, I didn't bother looking any further down the list in the proper alphabetical order, like I should have... Not seeing the nym_home uniform totally lead me down the path to a totally wrong conclusion.
  6. I can only guess he meant the now defunct CC-rosters mod... In any case, I can see the mistake he's pointing out -- names and numbers on Mets' Home uniform are outlined in black, but should be outlined in orange. I'm using DS's CC Uniform mod w/ the color.txt imported, version 16.0 (most recent). The outline of the names and numbers is black, however, it is also black in 2K's default roster. Something noteworthy: DS's uniform mod doesn't include a Mets Home uniform... Deductive reasoning: it's not an error in the color.txt file, but an error in the original uniform file. The correct request would be one for an update to the Mets Home uni so player names and numbers are outlined in orange, not black.
  7. So the .txt files you include re-direct uniform filenames within the .ROS file to the new uniform filenames? Control your uniform mods through the roster. That's an interesting way of doing it... My apologies for not fully understanding the method. The only downside I see is that every time there's a roster update, I'd have to re-import every .txt file for each of your uniform mods I have installed. With the storage space available on a PC, I've always created back-up copies of original game files and stored them in a separate folder, then played the Copy/Paste game with modded uniform, portrait, overlay, and cyberface files.
  8. There's only one problem with what you said... Custom uniform files DO overwrite the existing game uniform files. If they didn't, they wouldn't work, because they have to have the correct filename. As for importing of .txt files for color correction, your directions are spot-on.
  9. You may think you only have one user, but Windows installs a few of its own... There are always "All Users" and "Default" or "Default User" directories installed, as well as the "Public" user. Is there any chance you don't have the "Show hidden files and folders" option enabled?
  10. DS, when it comes to cyberfaces, how exactly does the dark-skin-tone issue apply? I'm just trying to understand the issue better when specifically dealing with Cyberfaces. I understand that player ratings changes in Ty's Editor can screw up players with dark-tones, but a Face-ID change doesn't seem to do so. I'll present evidence to back that up using one of your own creations -- Jemile Weeks. You've done a few dark players yourself already, such as Jemile Weeks, Brandon Allen, Howard Kendrick, and Carlos Santana. Of these four, Allen, Kendrick, and Santana have 2K-created face files (player_head_XXXX.iff) in game, so your install instructions were to simply overwrite 2K's files. That's a simple process that doesn't involve Ty's editor, so it's really just copy/paste, enjoy. Jemile Weeks was different... Jemile Weeks doesn't have a 2K face file, so you instructed us to change his Face-ID to his Portrait-ID in Ty's. (J. Weeks' default face setting is #65535.) All 4 players are dark and all 4 show as Skin-Tone 11 in Ty's editor. So, if Weeks can be added using Ty's without issue, then any Skin-Tone 11 player's face should be able to be added -- and added regardless of whether they already have a 2K-created face file or not. So, I don't understand why dennisjames' request for Maybin, who also has ST 11, could be an issue if Weeks was not. To that end, I don't understand why any dark-skinned player in-game would be a problem since you pulled it off successfully for Weeks.
  11. I don't have Ultimate, but I have Win7 Home Premium 64-bit on my lappy, and Vista-64 on my desktop. The "Saves" directory is in the same filepath for both of those. Are you choosing the correct UserName after C:Users ? During installation, you may have been prompted to install the game for "Current User" or "All users of this computer." If you chose "current user," the Saves folder will be within the C:Users%UserName%AppData2K Sports... folder that was active at the time of installation. Try a file & folder search for *.USR within the C:Users path. .USR is the file extension for Profiles used in 2K games. A search for the "2K Sports" or "Major League Baseball" folders should also find it.
  12. Who me? What did I do? Have I somehow gotten a bad rep around here? Fuel for fire: Poor little Timmy was lit-up by the Phils in the first inning tonight... He's definitely off to a rough start this season. In previous years, I've felt he was one of the top-5 starters in MLB. My opinion changed over the course of last year. But, he would still make my top-10.
  13. =DS= already called "them" out in the preview announcement posted on OperationSports' forum about this so-called mod. I found mpgm's (mpgm = kmp?) reply there...amusing.
  14. It's not the fault of software programmers that AppData (or Application Data on XP) is a hidden folder -- that was Microsoft's doing. To save replays, you can either push F2 on the keyboard or push in on the Left-Stick on your controller. (I use a controller.) I think to use the keyboard and F2, you have to initially bring up the replay using the keyboard (ESC key) to open the Nav Menu, then you can click Replay with the mouse. I'm not sure how to actually control replays using a keyboard, though... I only know how to save them.
  15. Great answers, but I asked when, not why. I know the team used to have red and blue secondary/tertiary colors years ago, but I literally did a double-take when I saw the word "Sox" on a red cap.
  16. Well said, DonSPa. I offer a sincere apology to BSU and everyone if my feedback comments came across as anything other than constructive criticism. It was not my intention to be overly critical, and I certainly never intended any portion of anything I said to be insulting. I found a few minor mistakes, and felt BSU-Fan should be made aware of them. If I may pose a Cyberface-related question... In going through the updated version's Phillies rosters, I discovered many MLB players with the "Generic Bald-headed Guy" look. Do I need to download and install Cyberfaces for each one to correct this? Mayberry, Nix, Galvis, Worley, Kendrick, Bastardo, Stutes, Herndon, & Savery were all this way, and other than Kendrick, I don't believe any other players have downloadable Cyberface on this site. I'm uncertain how to remedy this situation.
  17. Portrait.7z doesn't get unzipped! Leave it alone so Total Installer Thingy can install it into the decompressed Portrait.iff/.cdf files. Watch the installation guide video Raidersbball included on the download page of the mod. Follow it step-by-step, pausing the video as needed. http://www.mvpmods.com/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=6618
  18. DS, I should mention one thing about my own testing -- both my desktop and laptop have AMD/ATI GPUs within them. (HD4890 in DTop - Llano APU in the lappy.) If you're using an nVIDIA card, that could possibly explain why I see a "pinkish" difference in Phillies and Nationals socks when compared to their Team Color 1, but you don't. Is there any chance some screen-shots would help? I could easily setup a 2-player game of Nats vs Phils and take a few, RAR/Zip them, then drop the RAR/Zip into a post here. [Edit] Lastly, I should mention I can also see a noticeable difference between the helmet color and the cap color for both teams. The helmets are a bit brighter, but that could simply be 2K's way of making shiny plastic brighter and reflective while making soft-cloth flat-finished.
  19. Wow BSU-Fan... I'm sorry to hear you hadn't played at all yet. I'm glad you finally did, and even happier you enjoyed it. I suppose you can find some relief in the fact the Phillies' farm system is the only one with which I'm familiar. I'm a Philadelphia-born transplant living near Charlotte now. And although they're the local team, I'm not a Charlotte Knights fan at all. But, I will be attending at least one Iron Pigs @ Knights game in May. Front-row seats near the visitor dugout on the 3B side, so I can't wait to heckle Domonic Brown about Laynce Nix taking his spot on the MLB roster... It could be a long night for him if he's in Left Field that day. LOL Thanks for discussing things with me here. I can't begin to imagine the amount of work that went into this, so I want you to know it is greatly appreciated.
  20. Just flipped through the channels to MLB Network and saw the Chi-Sox wearing red caps. When did they start doing this?
  21. Understood DS. I thought about the fact that my monitor may be playing with my eyes a bit, so I tried a 2nd monitor w/ my desktop, and also compared the two colors on my laptop. I could see a slight difference on all three screens, even if I changed the color-presets from 5500K, to 6500K, to 9300K, or made manual adjustments to saturation, warmth, etc.. Because of that, I had ruled out the monitor factor. Maybe my slight colorblindness actually makes me more susceptible to certain color variations... LOL
  22. Thanks for the reply BSU. I want to make it clear I understand the complexities involved in 'nailing down' minor league rosters. Plenty of guys indeed do get moved up-and-down as the season progresses, and they are often platooned positionally. I disagree with what you said about minor-leagues starting later, though. The Triple-A and Double-A seasons start alongside the MLB, with most teams having begun play on April 5th. Many AAA and AA teams have 10-games played already, which is actually more than a few MLB clubs. As for Blanco specifically, if the Iron Pigs are only playing him at SS, which you can see they are by reviewing box scores here, then he should be an SS, and perhaps have his abilities adjusted to 100 SS, 90-95 2B. (Apparently 2K agreed w/ me and moved him to SS in the 4/13 roster update after I cited the error on their forum a few days prior to that roster's release. Could be coincidence, though.) While following an entire league's progress to catch every player move would be a monumental task, following 3 leagues would be nigh impossible, so I certainly don't expect anyone to do so. Hopefully, we (the other forum members) can simply assist you in making changes to your roster as best we can right here so it's as accurate and up-to-date as possible. And that's really what I'm trying to do here. [Edit] One last bit about some of the Phils players on your roster... Fontenot and Clevlen haven't been assigned anywhere since being acquired, so I don't really know where you should actually stick them within the minor-league system.
  23. BSU, I replied in the reviews of the mod when I really should have come here to talk about the stuff I mentioned there... In fact, gonna edit my reply there and copy/paste it here. Overall, I think this is excellent work, and I know it was time-consuming. Unfortunately, I have noticed errors in the minor-league teams of the Phillies--a franchise with which I happen to be rather familiar. I believe the errors likely exist due to the movement of injured/DL MLB players (which you healed...?) to Triple-A rosters. Because you healed such players, there's no 'extra' room on the bench for players who technically belong on the Triple-A roster. Would this have been an issue had you not healed these players? Moving on, Andres Blanco should be a SS for the Iron Pigs (Phils Triple-A). He's splitting time at SS with Kevin Frandsen (whom you have on the Double-A team), while Frandsen and Thurston split time at 2B. 2K fixed that in their 4/13 roster and made Blanco a SS, but you still have him as a 2B. (That's what 2K had until 4/13.) [Edit: And now that the Phillies have signed Fontenot, who the Hell knows where these guys will all end up? All this confusion because of Chase Utley...] In addition to Frandsen, Gosewich needs to be moved up to the Triple-A roster w/ Kratz and Suomi. Why the team's carrying 3 catchers is beyond me, but it is. [Edit: And Chin-lung Hu isn't shown on any current Phillies' roster at any level... As best I know, the Indians had him last and released him during Spring Training. Feierabend was released by the Phils as well, but he's still on your roster.] I realize you had to make room at Triple-A level for "injured/DL" MLB players there, but in doing so, that made the minor-league rosters rather inaccurate overall. Did healing those players throw a wrench in the works? I apologize if I'm being hyper-critical here. It's not my intention. I'm simply citing inaccuracies I've found, which I'm hopeful you can explain or correct. Thanks.
  24. Which means in order for the socks to be corrected, someone needs to update the Phillies uniform files. It's not a result of importing the Color.txt file into a roster. Thanks for clarifying this, cammel. This proves the discoloration of the socks is due to a mis-colored texture within the uniform files for the Phillies. It's the type of error DS has been correcting with his Color Corrected Uniforms mod for other teams, so hopefully he can correct this issue as well. DS. We were replying at the same time. LOL. Thanks for looking into this, and I look forward to hearing the results.
