  1. The Phillies are broadcast on Comcast Sportsnet (aka CSN), or MyPHL17. I searched the CSNphilly.com site and found squat for usable logos. Not much luck at myphl17.com either. There were some logos for each, but they were really small or didn't match what's used on TV during broadcasts.
  2. As for the password issue, I think DS is probably correct in that you'll have to wait for 2K to respond to the "already in use" issue. They may have deactivated the serial number, and/or all accounts associated with it. You could try calling 2K customer service, though: 1-866-219-9839 Now the Franchise draft issue is one I think I saw someone else claim completely locked up his/her game on 2K's forum. If that forum's "Advanced Search" function would ever work properly for me, I could have searched for it. Alas, it never works for me. Not in Firefox or IE. Maybe you'll have better luck... https://www.2ksports.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=203
  3. What player role did you choose which requires bunts as a Call-up Goal? (So I know to avoid it...) I feel the Call-up goals for some roles definitely need some tweaking... Strikeout pitcher goals suck due to player creation limitations. Goals: 75+ Movement & 75+ Control. Go into Skill points to see that your first pitch's Movement & Control are red in color. This is the pitch that requires 75 Movement & Control. Now the problem there is the first pitch during player creation MUST BE some form of fastball. (Either 4-Seam, 2-Seam, Sinker, Cutter, or Splitter). So basically, 2nd & 3rd (usually off-speed) pitches be damned! You must have a solid Fastball to pitch in the majors.
  4. I logged in fine earlier today, and I was able to download the newest 2K roster. Though imperfect, 2K's rosters are coming around a bit. Some of the formerly free-agent players have actually been assigned to their correct teams. I don't know if the contracts are accurate, though... I tried looking up a few (such as Andres Blanco & Brian Tallet) of their contracts, but terms aren't available anywhere. 2K's newest roster actually surprised me in regard to MLB and Triple-A level accuracy. At least, it did in regard to players and transactions I actually investigated. I didn't delve too deep, but rather skimmed the a few rosters and some key transactions. I found them accurate, including Ian Kinsler's recent contract extension.
  5. Niharjhatn, I had a 10+ foul-ball at-bat (everyone lost count) in little league, which I managed to eventually turn into a game-winning hit. It was the highlight of my otherwise forgettable batting in baseball... Though honestly, if I didn't lead the league in HBP every year since I was 7-years old, I might have become a better hitter. And I don't mean lead the league by one or two HBPs. I lead by a LOT! It was as if I was wearing a bulls-eye. I had several 20-game seasons with 15+ HBPs... That's almost one-per-game! My batting AVG was for ****, but my OBP was always ~.700 LOL. One HBP put me in the hospital when I was 13 -- I apparently tried to catch a fastball with my face. I still have physical scars from it, and it scarred me mentally enough that I didn't play anymore at all beyond age 14. As for the patch... One thing I forgot to mention previously was the ability to change cameras in My Player, especially for pitching. I truly hate the Pitching 1 camera, and very much prefer Pitching 2 or 3 over it. Sometimes the Broadcast camera of a stadium is actually better.
  6. Anyone happen to know what the heck this file is, or its purpose? I didn't have one for over a week, but when I started the game today, I noticed it during the list of 'loading' crap when I started the game up. Loading "Settings"... Loading "Roster"... Loading "Game Records"... Loading "Profile"... I checked the "Saves" folder and there it was: Game Records.REC - 96bytes - created last night. My only guess is it's related to "Play Ball" mode games. I started and exited (w/o saving) a few CPU vs CPU games to view some stadiums and uniforms, but not even a single pitch was officially recorded in any of the games. (I paused the game when the pitchers began their delivery, went to replay, then started looking around.)

Don, is there any chance you could upload higher-res screenshots for your works? Even pics which are twice as big would show more detail.
  8. What's wrong with the original helmet logo? It does look bigger than the logo you used, so perhaps the original helmet logo was simply the wrong size?
  9. By MLB scoring rules, an inside the park HR officially counts as a HR as long as there were no throwing or fielding errors made prior to the batter crossing the plate. If it wasn't scored as a HR and there were no errors made, then that would be a bug in the game's scoring system. (2K would need to be made aware of the issue.) And Ken Burn's Baseball documentary is excellent. Unfortunately, it also gets a bit long-winded during certain portions. I've never actually watched the entire series. I usually grow weary of the early years by the time it reaches the WWII era and end up skipping ahead to more modern-day stuff.
  10. Crites, if your PSU's fan is working overtime to keep it cool, then I'd have concerns about its overall condition and ability to actually power all your components... PCStar, an X1650 just barely meets the minimum requirements for this game. Do as Crites suggested and make sure the cooling fan on the card is functioning, as well as making certain the heatsink on it isn't clogged up with dust. A can of compressed air can cure dust problems. And since you're inside the PC already, you may as well make certain any intake and exhaust fans/vents are working properly and dust-free as well. As Crites suggested, beyond something physical, you may want to consider a driver update. AMD (ATI) drivers are available here: http://sites.amd.com.../downloads.aspx Lastly, you may want to download some 3rd-party temp monitoring software to ensure the card isn't overheating while playing games. My favorites are MSI's Afterburner and Tech-PowerUp's GPU-Z. Afterburner has one distinct advantage over GPU-Z, which is that it can actually display the card's temperature on-screen at the same time as you're playing full-screen games. Afterburner: http://event.msi.com...er/download.htm GPU-Z: http://www.techpower.../SysInfo/GPU-Z/ Edit: One warning. Don't go fiddling around with Afterburner's Over-Clocking capabilities. You could easily destroy the card if you make a mistake there.
  11. I play at 60-80 depending on my mood. When I want a challenge, 80. When I just want to play, 60 or 70. Anything more than 80 and I have a really hard time trying to adjust to pitchers who have really hard stuff and really soft stuff, like a 95+mph FB, 90+mph cutter, 90+mph slider, 77mph 12-6/Curve, and a change in the 75-80mph range. The greater the variance on the speed of their pitches, the far more difficult it is to adjust my swing timing. I tried 90 once, and much like Bangus said about 100, it felt like I was simply twitch-reacting to just about everything. Though I ended up smacking a few pitches, I definitely didn't do so well overall... With the varied reaction-time of everyday people, I'm very thankful we can adjust things like pitch speed up-or-down to fit our own abilities.
  12. Interesting... I was on 2K Share yesterday (the 7th) and there was no new roster shown. Today, it's there. I guess that's why I saw a couple posts/comments on 2K's forum that 2K Share was acting up.
  13. The PA Announcer. I'm still in AA, too. I've never been announced outside of two times where the scenario I described (field final out of opponent's half-inning and lead-off the next half-inning) has occurred. I'm batting clean-up as a Slugger -- a key batting order slot -- and I'm doing very well so far. (Very High avg, few HRs, lots of RBIs) It's not like I'm in the 8-hole batting .178 or some crap. LOL Any time I get on base, the announcer always announces subsequent batters. He also announces opposing batters when I've got a fielding opportunity. Even in my first at-bat of a game after the super-sim gets to me, I get nothing but one of the two (extremely annoying) introductory music options. (It's either the horn-only one, or the horn+guitar one, and I grew sick of them both in 2K10!) My Presentation sliders are as follows: Commentary = 25 PA Announcer = 15 Sound Effects = 100 Crowd = 5 Umpire = 20 2Kbeats = A big fat ZERO!!! These are identical to my settings from 2K10, which always announced me. Of course, 2K10 also had a rather lengthy walk-up to the plate, which from what I can tell, 2K12 does not have. I'm always immediately taken right to the plate, see a practice swing or two (depending on my batter style), then the Goal screen comes up. I just don't get it...
  14. Only some of Pena's graphics mod versions (there are 4) remove the ball cursor when pitching. I know version 2 doesn't for sure, as that's the one I use.
  15. Bangus, I listed that because I've only ever had my name announced once. It specifically happened because I caught the final out of the inning while fielding, then lead-off the next half of the inning. Any time I come to bat, my name isn't announced. I'm using the 'Real Time' setting in Presentation. Could that be causing the problem? Should I be using the 2K setting instead? (Hurry up is just ridiculous, IMO...)
  16. There is no difference. This is 2K's roster--pure and untouched. I saw a few complaints on 2K's forums where people couldn't log into 2K-Share to download it, or the download itself was becoming corrupted after downloading it. I figured an alternate source was warranted.

  19. Yeah... Once a runner pauses at a bag, or even starts slowing down before one, they are insanely stubborn and hard to get moving again. The issue is with how slowly runners (or even fielders) change direction. It's as if they're all 350-lb lumbering oafs...even the small and quick ones with 90+ Speed & Accel. Again, the game needs a patch, but if you can put up with annoyances like those mentioned (and we only mentioned some of 'em...there are more), you can enjoy the game. Though, I'd advise saving progress within Franchise and My Player games often, as well as backing-up the save file prior to each game you play. That way, if some total bullshit happens and ruins a game (like a guy wall-climbing halfway up a 20-foot high wall to catch a ball 15-feet up that wall...yes, that happened to me) you've got a chance to try it again. Oh... You can see my running list of issues, which is already at the 10K character limit for 2K forum posts so I'll soon have to start a 2nd one, here: https://www.2ksports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3642482&postcount=306
  20. Odd... The 'Click start to Begin' button for all my 2K games on my Saitek controllers is actually Button 8 (Rt Bottom Trigger). But, once I'm actually at the main title screen, Button 10 becomes the 'Start' button. (Though, that might have to do with my modifying the controller setup...) The main thing to keep in mind on PC is if you use the mouse or keyboard to progress beyond the 'Press Start to Begin' screen, then the keyboard becomes Player1, and the controller becomes Player2. If you never use the keyboard (and only use the controller) to progress beyond the 'Start' screen, you'll never run into that problem.
  21. You can't change the camera in My Player... Now I'm worried about having to play the Cubs in Chicago. I actually loved playing them in 2K10 because I managed to hit a few 500-ft HR's at Wrigley -- the only stadium in which I ever managed to do that.
  22. The game is playable, and overall, it's enjoyable. That said, you may find yourself cursing it should one of the many minor issues hit you in the face and cost you a game. And yes, there are lots of little annoying things... Sometimes fielders seemingly freeze in place initially and don't get a decent jump on the ball, or make unnecessary diving catches. Runners often dive or sprint back to the bag when a sharply hit, 1-hop ground-ball or hard line-drive is hit anywhere near a fielder, especially those up the middle anywhere near the pitcher. Or when AI base-runners go down the line and hold instead of tagging-up, or go back to the bag but don't bother to tag-up. Or when playing My Player and the Hit-n-Run call is made, but the runner doesn't actually start running! Dumb things like those aren't game-breaking, but they are very annoying, especially when they repeat themselves. Honestly, the game needs a patch, especially for some of the bugs that actually are game-breaking. Some people have had Clutch Moments and Major League call-ups totally corrupt their My Player games.
  23. Oh! OK. I thought you were using the new 3/4-height '2KFresh' model as your guide. Sorry about that. =)
  24. Are any stadium modders planning to mod, or currently working on, any of the Triple-A and/or Double-A ballparks? Micropterus58 did an excellent job on some of them for 2K10, especially Dr. Pepper Stadium, but he hasn't officially been on the site since some time last fall. Modded minor-league parks add realism and depth to My Player, which is the mode I play most. So, I was hoping someone might be up to the task. Thanks!
  25. Pena, this is some very nice work. Thank you! I noticed only one minor detail worth noting. The toe on the Nike Huarache's doesn't change -- only the outline of it does. Changing only the outline makes them look like a Huarache/Gamer/Keystone hybrid. (Gamer and Keystone outline the toe-piece.) Any chance a change could be included in an update? For pics of the 3 models to which I referred, see here: http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/?l=shop,pwp,c-1+100701/hf-10002+12001+4294967160/t-Baseball_Cleats_and_Shoes#?l=shop,pwp,c-1+100701/f-4294966968/hf-10002+12001+4294967160
