  1. Go into Management, edit the player's equipment, and then save the custom roster. Of course, any previously started My Player or Franchise games won't be affected by such a change, but all new ones which use that custom roster will be. (So long as that roster is loaded and selected when the game is begun.)
  2. LOL??? Juan Pierre doesn't use his own batting stance, but Joe Blanton does use Pierre's? LMAO @ 2KSports.
  3. Yeah they do... Take a 3- or 4-step lead and see. 2K12 definitely isn't the pick-off fest 2K10 was, though. (Thankfully!) Edit: Here's a link to 2K's 'Feedback Thread (for future Patch)' on its forum. https://www.2ksports.com/forums/showthread.php?t=318918 I've only had the game about a week, so my running list of issues (17 currently, but I keep finding more) within that thread is buried on page 31. But, here's a direct link: https://www.2ksports.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3642482&postcount=306
  4. =DS=. Yeah, I know some of those things won't/can't be fixed in 2K12, but 2K should still know about it for the sake of any future game. As such, I've mentioned those particular things on their own forums. As for the 'realism' of the variable strike zone, I've found it quite unrealistic in some cases, particularly during instances where roughly a third-to-half of the ball is in the interior strike zone and the pitch is still called a ball. And I've seen some pitches outside the zone called strikes. As a pitcher in previous titles, we used to be able to nibble at the strike zone successfully. Now...not so much, if at all. And I'd like to add one other thing -- pick-off attempts (that fail to get the runner out) during base-stealing drills should NOT count as an actual attempt to steal. I know if a player is picked-off it is officially scored as caught-stealing, and I'm OK with that. However, it doesn't officially count as a stolen base (or even an attempt) if you're safe, so you shouldn't be penalized one of your 15 steal attempts if you make it back the bag safely.
  5. 1. Nose in the air baserunning. These are PROS, not tee-ballers... LOL 2. Pena1 fixed the bright-white pop-up landing zone crap in a mod, but 2K should fix that blinding white circle themselves. 3. Camera angle options/adjustments in My Player!!! (And fix the bug where the baserunning cam angle is off for the first pitch after causing the opposing team changes pitcher because you got on base.) 4. Plastic-looking fielding gloves... Why the Hell are they shiny like $5 plastic gloves for 5-year-old kids? 5. Pitches that catch the edge of the strikezone actually being called strikes instead of balls. 6. A replay function that doesn't always stutter constantly. 7. Being able to take an extended lead off-base BEFORE the pitcher goes into the motion to 'hold position' of the stretch animation. 8. The 'point-to-the-sky-to-thank-God' animation has got to go... Yeah, real players do it, but you'd think a corporation would at least attempt to remain religion-neutral. Just eight things off the top of my head...
  6. Crites, for the last couple years, PC users had to hit the number '4' on their keyboard (not on the numpad) to change from MLB to the minors. Hitting '4' also allowed access to Classic Controls in Controller Options, as well as access to all levels of league play within Roster Management options, such as Lineups, Pitching Rotation, etc.. I haven't picked up 2K12 yet, so I don't know if it's still the same this year. I was tempted to grab it last week while it was $20 at Amazon, but all the issues I read about here and on 2K's forums have made me very wary.
  7. I don't have 2K12 (yet), but you could select whatever pitches you wanted in previous MLB 2K titles, regardless of catcher suggestion. By definition, catcher suggestion is simply a suggestion, not a commitment to a specific pitch or location. Also, if you selected a pitch but it was the wrong one you wanted to pitch or you changed your mind after selecting it, you could hit "B" (or the corresponding 'Select Pitch' button on controller/keyboard for your 2nd pitch) to go back to the pitch selection screen and select a different one. You were never committed to a specific pitch until you selected it and actually began the pitching motion. The only times I've ever been forced to follow catcher suggestions were in Control & Velocity drills.
  8. Thanks for the reply, Hollywood. Is there any chance the generic ballparks (City Park, Metro Stadium, and Municipal Field) happen to still exist in 2K12? If so, have they been changed at all in comparison to their 2K10 versions? In 2K10, I believe they were named stadium_g01, _g02 & _g03. (If 2K12's game files show more than 3 stadium_gXX files, then it's safe to say more generic parks have been added.) Although I don't know which number corresponds with which stadium, I do know some of the 2K10 AA teams which use them. They are: City Park = Bowie Baysox (AA Orioles), Trenton Thunder (AA Yankees), New Hampshire Fisher Cats (AA Blue Jays), and Reading Phillies (AA Phillies). Metro Stadium = Arkansas Travelers (AA Angels), San Antonio Missions (AA Padres), Tulsa Drillers (AA Rockies), and Frisco Roughriders (AA Rangers). Municipal Field = Birmingham Barons (AA White Sox), Montgomery Biscuits (AA Rays), Jacksonville Suns (AA Marlins), and Chattanooga Lookouts (AA Dodgers). If hitting 4 on the keyboard still switches between MLB, AAA, and AA match-ups in 2K12, would you mind taking a quick peek? Thanks again.
  9. Does anyone who's fortunate enough to have purchased the game already have any information on the Minor League stadiums in 2K12? I'm a genuine fan of developmental baseball, and my fondness of 2K10's 'My Player' feature showed decided shortcomings as far as the depth and variation of MiLB ballparks are concerned. Accordingly, I'd like to know if more Minor League and Spring Training parks have been added to 2K12, or if those which were present in 2K10 (sorry, but I skipped 2K11) were expanded or modified/improved upon. Improvements to previous parks and/or expansion to include even more parks are factors that would definitely influence my decision to buy 2K12 ASAP or put it off in favor of something else presently. Speaking strictly from my experience with 2K10, there were some truly excellent MiLB parks (Bright House, Raley, McCoy, Dr Pepper, & Blair County specifically) which I loved, but there were a few rag-tag generic parks which I grew to despise. An example of a generic park I can't stand would be the AA-level's City Park, which I believe is actually a dated and rather unrealistic representation of the R-Phils' FirstEnergy Park (formerly Reading Municipal-Memorial Stadium) in Reading, PA. Not that I'm here to complain about 2K10... LOL. It's just the fact that the generic parks serve as the home fields for so many MiLB teams gets under my skin, so I'm hopeful 2K12 may have some improvements in this particular area. In any case, any info on possible changes to the MiLB ballparks compared to 2K10 would be greatly appreciated, so thanks in advance to anyone who replies! P.S. This should appear as my first 'official' post here, but I have lurked looking for gameplay, slider, camera tips, and other such setting modifications for nearly 2 years. (Though I did make a post in the 2K10 forum last night when I finally registered, which apparently needed mod approval or 24-hour time-lapse to post. Unfortunately, it didn't actually post after 24 hours...)
  10. Hey. I recently noticed I have the exact same issue, and I don't have any mods installed. Now that I think about it, it's been an issue for some time, but I never actually realized it... I know the game once showed 'Jumbotron' images while in My Player mode, but it definitely doesn't now. Unfortunately, I didn't notice when it actually stopped working, so I don't know what possible changes to my computer config (drivers, etc.) may have caused it. I have tried playing the game on a 2nd PC and it also has the issue. Let's try to narrow down the cause, OK? Both of my PCs (one's actually a laptop) have AMD/ATI CPUs & video cards; PC has a Phenom II 720BE & HD4890, while the laptop has an AMD Llano A6-3500 Fusion w/ its integrated 6620G GPU. I play the Steam version, which has the 1.1 patch. Neither has any mods installed. I've tried a few recent AMD Catalyst driver versions (11.7, 11.9, & 12.1), but the problem persists. (Note: I have some much older versions stored locally, so I may experiment with some 2010 drivers, specifically 10.1, 10.4, 10.5a w/ hotfix, 10.7, & possibly 11.1.) Lastly, I also have access to a few additional PCs w/ gaming-capable hardware, one of which has an nVIDIA 8800GT in it. Running the game on that one would serve to narrow or expand causality greatly, so it's definitely on my to-do list.
