September Call-Up

September Call-Up (2/10)

  1. I don't know how they cannot be. Its an executable file that I ran and installed itself. There is an XBCD folder in my program files. When I open that setup program it doesn't show anything to select from under Device.
  2. When I choose Human Interface Device I have a large choice of vendors to choose from. There's nothing xbox related under Microsoft and I cannot find anything XBCD related. I have no other machines to test this on currently unfortunately.
  3. I assume you meant "Don't search I will choose the driver to install" when you said pick from a list option. After that I select the hardware type as "sound, video, and game controllers" then click next. It lists several vendors, none of which are xbox or microsoft.
  4. microsoft drivers off of microsoft.com, then the XBCD XP drivers.
  5. That's not the case here (I installed with controller plugged in)
  6. I can't get the controller to appear in the Device Manager. Does this happen after you install the microsoft ones or the xbcd ones? It didn't appear in there after either and only comes up as a Question Mark like I previously stated. If it is the Microsoft drivers could someone provide me with a link at where to get correct ones?
  7. Does anyone have the link for the xbox 360 controller? When I connect it to my laptop, windows update cannot find anything and I have to physically locate the file somewhere on microsoft.com. After I run this .exe, and go through all the steps I cannot locate the controller in the device manager, but I do see a question mark next to Other Devices and a subdevice with question mark called USB Device. What do you think is wrong?
