  1. All you need to do is open "part 1" and extract to the desktop both the files that it contains. You don't need to open part two, but you will need to download it as well. After that, you will have the two files you need and it will just be a matter of cutting/pasting the files into the MLB 2K12 game folder. That's it

The Fox Sports version of the sound mod is here! I UPLOADED V2 OF THIS MOD BUT DIDN'T DELETE V1 FOR WHOEVER PREFERS THE OLD THEMES. I just finally found the modern theme that Fox Sport uses and replaced the old themes with it. Just like with the ESPN version, what I aim to do with this mod is to completely replace 2K's stock game introduction, lineup presentation and mid inning music with the MLB on Fox theme. You may find the themes might not be 100% like in real life, because the game only allows us to use files of a certain lenght, therefore I had to cut and mod a few of them, so they could fit the little spaces the game allows us to use. I also completely replaced the music that plays from the stadiums' speakers with 50 different songs, so you will no longer hear that awful soundtrack that 2K12 came with, during the games and you will hear a wider variety of songs. I chose these songs according to what most players use as walk-up songs or what you'd usually hear in a ballpark or stadium. If you don't like some of the tunes, you're still more than welcome to replace the files yourselves with the Audio Editor and put in the music that you prefer! For better results during games, I suggest you use these volume values: Commentary 100 Crowd 95/100 PA Announcer 65/70 The file is divided in two parts because it was too big to be uploaded to the website. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILE so you can go back to it, in case you don't like this one! HOW TO INSTALL: Download both parts. Open part 1 and extract the files to the game's main folder, overwriting the pre-existing ones. Done. There is no need to open part 2 and extract the files contained in it as well, however you do need to have both parts on your computer when extracting. If you want to request a particular broadcast, please PM me or comment here and I'll see what I can do in my spare time. If you happen to have some good quality audio files for future sound mods projects, please PM me, because some audios are really hard to find. I mean REALLY hard. I really hope you guys enjoy it. Test it out, rate it and please leave a comment of any kind. Constructive criticism is appreciated. (Thank you all for the support and thanks to DYosua for modding the awesome Audio Editor created by Leftos and nesa24 of the NBA-live forums!)
  3. If you could record some CSN music too, I'd fly over there and personally thank you lol The only version that's around is not good enough to work with, sadly
  4. I have tried looking for it but I can't find it I'd love to make a sound mod for most tv broadcasts, but I am having a hard time finding a lot of tunes. I really wanted to make a sound mod to match the CSN scoreboard and my SF Giants franchise, but it looks like I'll have to wait until someone extracts it from somewhere and post it on youtube: that's where I find most of the themes. I'll be on the hunt though. If any of you happen to stumble upon some tv themes, please don't hesitate to contact me and I will be glad to make a sound mod with the themes you want, when I have some free time
  5. You just open part one, drag and drop the .bin file on to the desktop and it will automatically extract part two as well, into just one file. When you're done extracting there will only be one "pamusic.bin" file and you will need to place it into the game folder. Job done! Hope it helps!
  6. You just open part one, drag and drop the bin file on to the desktop or the game folder and it will automatically extract part two as well. No need to extract part two also. You need to have both parts on your computer though. Thanks everyone for the nice comments, I really hope you are enjoying the mod! And brace yourselves because the MLB on FOX mod is in the making and should be out sooner than expected... and it sounds better than ever!
  7. Glad you could make it work. You probably downloaded it right when I was deleting the old files and replacing them with their new version. Enjoy it, man!
  8. No it isn't. Or at least shouldn't be. I just downloaded it and it works fine on my end. What is the problem it gives you? EDIT: I have just downloaded the files once more (two times in total) and it works wonderfully. Just throwing it out there, have you downloaded both parts? If you don't download both archives, you will not be able to extract the file. Or maybe you just got a bad download.
  9. Thank you both guys It's nice to be finally able to give back to the community. Currently uploading a new version, with more fixed volumes (some songs were a little bit low on volume) so by the time you get home you will probably find the better version out

This is the improved version of the pamusic.bin file that I uploaded in the forums. What I aim to do with this mod is to completely replace 2K's stock game introduction, lineup presentation and mid inning music with the MLB on ESPN theme. You may find the themes might not be 100% like in real life, as I had to work with limited audio files (it's really hard to find some themes, even on youtube), and this is the best I could do with the little material I had. 11. I feel exactly the way you do about everything you stated in your post. I found it weird how teams would never trade players or sign free agents, no matter what the "Franchise automation" value was set on. I think I will use this V3 roster and begin my franchise again. What happens if you control one team per division? Do you see any trades happening, or do you still have to make all the trades yourself?
  12. I tried doing it (I think it was "Gverb"), but it just sounds odd. As for right now I'm only adding "echo" and that seems to be doing the job for right now, but I'm not 100% satisfied.
  13. Thanks a lot for your willingness What I'm really looking for is a good effect to apply to some songs so that they sound like they are being played through the speakers in a stadium. It would be a problem to send you all the files I'm working with, but I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me which way to go. Or maybe, if you are able to edit some music bits and you'd like to add them the file, please do let me know and I'll gladly put them in the file and upload it here once I'm done working on it. I am on my way to replace all of those songs with proper tunes that you'd hear at a ballgame. If my explanation wasn't too clear, just browse through the files from 1285 to 1327 in the "pamusic.bin" file and you'll know which audio files I'm talking about This is for everyone: If any of you has a good version of the introduction audio used by CSN Bay Area (the one in this video ) let me know or send it my way, because I'd like to make a sound mod which fits the CSN scoreboard. I may be a perfectionist, but I really like the tune and it would fit perfectly my new SF Giants franchise Too bad the song in the video lacks quality at the end (KC, think you can do something about it? Or is that too much to ask? ) or else, I'd have used that one. I am also uploading the txt file explaining sound IDs of the pamusic.bin file. This will hopefully make it easier for everyone to understand which files you need to be replacing if you want to mod the introduction audios by yourselves! Hope it helps. IDS.txt
  14. Glad to hear you like it! I have improved it even more to replace even more audios now (sometimes the game would still start with the stock 2K game intro music) and I am currently working on the music that blares from the speakers, like at-bat songs, or music that plays when there's a mound meeting... it should give the game a more realistic sound EDIT: KC, that would be totally awesome! I'm sure we'd knock this one out of the park As of right now, I'm doing all the sound modifications with Audacity, so I think that if you have something more professional to work with and the skills to do it with, that would be great indeed
  15. I have a .txt file with the list of file IDs for the pamusic.bin file (just that bin file as of right now). I could upload it here if anyone's interested, that should help if anyone wants to do any sound editing such as changing the presentation audio files, like I did with the MLB on ESPN audios. It shows which files you need to be replacing, so it should make everything quicker Just gimme 5 minutes to translate it (it's in Italian ) and if there's any interest in it, I'll upload it
  16. Well, Hollywood, I have good news. I did find the "See ya" file after some research. It's inside "eventresponse.bin", and it's ID 71. Also, I have stumbled upon the sound file of a vendor yelling "ice cream" but I never heard it in the game, so yeah, they did put some in the game after all...
  17. I do agree, it's REALLY annoying. I suppose it could be searched and then replaced with an empty audio bit and that should fix it I have tried looking for it but there's just too many audios to go through... For the vendors voices, I suggest they could be replacing some other voices from the crowd, like the kids yelling or something like that. Another thing that I find unrealistic is that sometimes the crowd goes silent after the home team hits a home run, but I think there's no fixing that.
  18. Hey there. All you can do for right now is play with the power value in the sliders: that should get you more homeruns or at least longer ones. I don't think anyone has gotten to the point in which we can mod the ball's physics quite yet, though. The "stock" ball's physics of the game aren't too bad, IMHO.
  19. Awesome, thank you very much for the reply and the effort you put in making the roster!
  20. I have played a franchise based on your NoFakeNames roster with great results. I am sure I won't be disappointed with this one, and it looks like you did a solid job here once again, thank you so much BSU! I have a question, I've been going through players to put some cyberfaces I was missing, and I have discovered that there are a couple players who have "0" as their cyberface ID (The two I have encountered are Daisuke Matsuzaka of the Mets, and Jesse Hahn of the Padres, but there may be more). Would the roster start crashing if I changed the cyberface ID for at least one of them through the roster editor? EDIT: Add Odrisamer Despaigne to that list, too, just found it out lol
  21. Scotty, awesome job with all those cyberfaces you released, not just these but all of them! Your work has definitely improved A LOT and it gives a whole new aspect to the game! Thank you so much!
  22. Apparently we're not able to do that yet. DYosua said he hasn't found a way to listen to the commentary lines through the "audio preview" of the Audio Editor. I guess the same goes with the intro line (the Justin Verlander line), which I wasn't able to find anywhere. We shall wait and see if he can do something about it
  23. Hello again! I put in some effort to try and find all the files I could have missed and replaced them with properly cut and shortened music. I replaced all (I think) the "in game" music with the MLB on ESPN music, so that you can have a more broadcast-like experience. After some testing, it looks like as if I haven't forgotten to substitute any sound. As I said in the first post, I have replaced the game introduction music, the lineup presentation music and the end of inning music. I'm uploading a beta version of the pamusic.bin file to this message and I'd really appreciate some feedback on this, of any kind. So please go ahead and tell me if you like it or if I'm just wasting my time with it and need to give up This would fit better with an ESPN scoreboard of course, but, as I said, it's just a beta, so it's just an example to see if it works. I'd really like to make a mod like this with the CSN Bay Area music (no particular reason, just to match the scoreboard), but I can't seem to find the proper music to do it. Anyway, there you go, try it out and let me know. I hope you guys like it and, as always, back up your orginal pamusic.bin file first, so you can go back to the old one in case you don't like this one.
  24. Hello everybody! Using the sound editing tool (thanks again DYosua ) I'm working on a sound mod, to make the game sound more like a tv broadcast. My original plan was to replace the loading music to each game, the introduction music, the lineup presentation music, and the music that plays at the end of every inning. I was wondering if anyone could help me understand which are the files I should be substituting (or if anyone wants to join forces and work together, especially if someone is already working on something similar), because apparently I haven't replaced all of them yet: sometimes the game still plays the original music, so there must be other files I'm missing out on. I've only been focusing on the introductions and lineup presentation audio, for right now. I wanna make sure I get them right, before moving on to other audios. Here's what I have substituted, as of now: loadingmusic.bin ID 0 to 6 - Loading game music (lineup editing menu) (33.46) pamusic.bin ID 1181 - Match Introduction (42.75) 1205 - Match introduction 1 (40.90) 1206 - ? (31.60) 1213 - Lineup presentation (52.05) 1214 - Lineup presentation (52.05) 1219 - Lineup presentation (52.05) 1220 - Lineup presentation (44.61) 1221 - Lineup presentation (52.05) 1222 - Lineup presentation (52.05) Feel free to point out what I'm missing out on and keep adding more info if you happen to know which other files I should be replacing. Thanks in advance!
  25. Awesome news! Now we can also add proper songs blaring from the stadium speakers, instead of the original (and boring) songs from the game Thank you so much DYosua, this is great!
