  1. Anyone know ghow to stroke text in GIMP?
    Yeah...a couple of ways.

First, create a new layer with just the text on it. Use the magic wand and tell it to add to selection. Click inside until the letters are all surrounded with the dancing ants...then, make sure your foregroudn color is what you want the stroke to be. Click Edit>Stroke Selection, make a 1 or 2 pt line and then click ok.

Or, create a new layer with just the text on it. Click anything that's not the text with the magic wand. Then, click Select>Invert. Then Edit>Stroke Selection...etc...it may miss a couple of places though (like the insides of o's and b's) so you may have to do it the other way

  2. Sig I was going to use for female round of the competition:

I couldn't think of anyone...and then I watched an episode of Deal or No Deal

Also, ironically the font's called "Alba"

Question, btw, to those of you who use GIMP, are you having any problems selecting and outlining Text? I am.

  3. How do you do that wih GIMP?

on your text layer...select the non-font area...then go to Select>Invert then go to Edit>Stroke Selection. Select the thickness of the line, make sure you have the color you want the stroke to be as the foreground color and then click ok.

If you already merged it down, select the letters with the magic wand individually...then go to Edit>Stroke Selection etc...
